Kazakhstan's nuclear power tariffs to exceed coal plants' rates during payback period

ASTANA. June 16 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Electricity from Kazakhstan's planned nuclear power plant will cost more than power from coal-fired stations during the facility's payback period, though prices may eventually become competitive, the country's Atomic Energy Agency said Monday.
