Kazakhstan says Rosatom nuclear plant deal based on merits, not politics

ASTANA. June 16 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakhstan's selection of Russia's Rosatom to lead a consortium building the country's first nuclear power plant was based solely on technical and economic considerations, not political factors, the Atomic Energy Agency stated Monday.
