Kazatomprom, Sumitomo to explore production of medical radioisotopes from uranium by-products

ASTANA. Dec 19 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Kazakhstan’s national nuclear company Kazatomprom and Japan’s Sumitomo are preparing a joint project to develop scientifically grounded approaches to producing medical radioisotopes from by-products of uranium production, the Kazakh presidential press service reported.
